The Glenn Marshall Gallery opened in June 2007 featuring original watercolours
by Glenn Marshall and Contemporary photographic works by his wife Merice Ewart exclusive to the gallery.
The ethos of Glenn Marshall Gallery is:
“Original art at affordable prices direct from the artists”.
Glenn also conducts classes for all abilities in the gallery.
As the Gallery is also a working studio it affords opportunity to see works in progress and meet the artists, who are always happy to discuss their work with you.
Glenn’s paintings are very traditional his main influence being the great Victorian watercolorists particularly George Weatherill from Whitby.
Glenn also greatly admires the work of Yorkshire artist John Atkins Grimshaw; many of Glenn’s romantic nocturnes echo Grimshaw’s mastery of this haunting genre.
Merice’s work has a more contemporary theme; her images capture the essence of modern times, focusing on unusual angles and lighting.
Sometimes Merice’s Images are manipulated to produce Imaginative effects that reflect her creative spirit!
Both Artists are proud to belong to Historic Old Town of Bridlington’s up and coming cultural quarter.
Glenn Marshall and Merice Ewart are a husband and wife team who strive to create a welcoming atmosphere in the Gallery and are always pleased to see visitors.
